The SAT scores are accepted by several colleges and universities across the USA, Canada, Australia, the UK, New Zealand, Germany, UAE etc. The exam is an authentic representation of the calibre and preparedness of the students to study bachelors.  The SAT acceptance is spread to around 4,000 universities abroad.

However, since the pandemic and even before some colleges are going SAT test-optional. It is not mandatory to submit SAT scores in such universities and applications are assessed on other factors. Students, therefore, need to know whether the universities they are planning to take admission to accept SAT scores.

Apart from the US, 85 countries accept SAT scores for admissions. In the USA, more than 4,000 colleges accept SAT. In the UK, the number is 125. Canada, India, Japan, Australia, Mexico, UAE, Malaysia and Singapore are among the countries that have SAT requirements in universities. 

The validity of SAT score is five years and hence universities do not accept any test taken before that time frame. Also, the institutions determine their minimum SAT scores for respective courses.
