Hertfordshire Universitys origins date back to 1948 when it wasestablished as Hatfield Technology College. It was only in 1992 that Hatfield Polytechnic was granted thepower to award degrees, and it was after this that the institution was renamed the University of Hertfordshire. The university, today, operates with two main and a few subordinate campuses. The main campuses include College Lane and de Havilland, while sub-campuses include Bayfordbury Campus and Meridian House. Hertfordshire University has academic affiliations with European University Association, University Alliance and Universities UK. The university is counted among the top 100 higher universities in the UK and is particularly acknowledged for its Pharmaceutical department.

Prospective international students can apply to the University of Hertfordshire through two mediums:
Direct University Application will allow the students to apply for courses directly to the college. Application deadlines are not mentioned, however, with how simple the process is the application could be completed within a few hours. The required transcripts and other documents are directly uploaded to the online application portal.
UCAS Application route can also be opted for by the candidates. Under this option they shall first file the application with UCAS, and only on being cleared and accepted by the authority shall the application be prepped by the authority for college application.
Candidates can choose any of the above two options, while direct application shall cut down the application time, the UCAS option shall help in making an impressive college application with the body’s support.
In both cases the UCAS route is longer, however, the direct route is riskier as the submitted application is quite haphazard and often unchecked. Students are recommended to consult experts to avoid rejection without proper consideration of the applications.
