The admission process for the University of Sydney is quite straightforward. Students who are interested in studying any coursework at the University of Sydney are required to follow a few simple steps and ensure their application is completed.

Australia Awards Scholarships (AAS)

Australia for ASEAN scholarships provide young leaders from member states with an opportunity to study and gain valuable experience in Australia. Through these scholarships, recipients will develop their skills and knowledge to help build enduring ties with Australia. For the scholarship, participants must meet the requirements of their chosen institution and complete their academic program within the minimum period. Scholarship Achievers will receive the following Benefits:

Sydney Scholars India Equity Scholarship

Sydney Scholars India Equity Scholarship is a scholarship provided by the University of Sydney to Indian students who study a postgraduate coursework programme. Up to USD60,000 scholarship amount is allotted to financially support commencing postgraduate coursework students from India.

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must be an Indian citizen and current residents of slum communities in Delhi, India where ASHA Society works, be an international student, must have applied for a postgraduate coursework degree, and be a new student.

University of Sydney Placements

University of Sydney offers various kinds of support to its international students for  placement after programme completion. Depending on the level of the student's program of study, they may have the opportunity to take on additional projects and work. These programs can help develop their skills and knowledge in a particular field. Usually, these projects and work can be related to their studies. Through the Industry Placement Program, students can take on work for a leading firm while completing their degree.

• The IPP offers placements with international firms in the US and China. It also comes with a standard unit of study fee.

• During students’ local placement, they get the chance to work at least 3 days a week for 10 weeks.

• The program can count towards students’ undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree.

• Before students can join the program, they need to secure an industry placement. This is not the guarantee that a placement will be available.

• There are a limited number of scholarships and bursaries that can be applied for by individuals wanting to participate in Industry Placement Programs. 

• The Dalyell Global Mobility scholarship is available to international students. All of their placements are required to meet the Fair Work Act.
