Nottingham Trent University (NTU) was formed by the consolidation of various educational institutions. Its origins may be traced back to the 1843 foundation of the Nottingham Government School of Design. This design school is still affiliated with the institution. NTU obtained its present name and university status in 1992. This public research university is the 13th largest in the United Kingdom. It is made up of eight academic schools, each of which is accredited by the appropriate professional body or organisation. NTU has four world-class campuses spread around Nottingham, England. Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Business School, School of Architecture, School of Art & Design, Design and the Built Environment, Centre of Broadcasting and Journalism, and School of Social Sciences are all located on City Campus. Nottingham Trent University offers several competitive scholarships to international students.
