SAT Scores Verification Fees

If you request manual score checking, your answer sheets will be checked manually by an expert and you will be charged USD 55 for multiple choice exams and USD 55 for handwritten essays. If you take advantage of the SAT exam fee waiver, your exam fee will be halved. If errors are detected when scanning and scoring your exam, your scores may be changed and your exam fee will be refunded. Hand score verification is very detailed and cannot be re-evaluated later. If you are not satisfied with your results and want to improve your SAT score, you can always retake the SAT exam.

How to Cancel SAT Scores?

If you believe you did not perform well on the SAT exam, you can cancel your scores; however, you must respond soon. You must cancel by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the Thursday following your test date. (With the exception of students with disabilities who test during the school day, students with disabilities have until the Monday one week following the announced test date to cancel their score.) Scores cannot be reinstated or reported to you or any institution after a request to cancel is received. You can cancel your score either at the test centre or after you leave.

After the SAT exam, request the test coordinator for an SAT Request to Cancel Test Scores form.  Before leaving the test centre, complete and sign the form and return it to the test coordinator.

  • Fill out the SAT Request to Cancel Test Scores form or make your request in writing. The following information is required: test date, test centre number, name, residence, gender, birth date, and registration number.

  • Sign the form or write down your desire.

  • Send your completed and signed cancellation form with the label "Attention: SAT Score Cancellation."
