History, Affiliation, and Ranking
Established as Territorial Normal school at Tempe on March 12, 1885, Arizona State University got its present name after a series of name changes in 1958. The undergraduate and graduate academic programmes are completely accredited by the North Central Association Higher Learning Commission. The University has been ranked in the first position for innovation by US News for the past five years consecutively. Furthermore, US News has ranked the university at 53 for the best public schools and 39 for the best undergraduate engineering program.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The university is on five campuses in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area and four regional learning centers throughout Arizona. University does not believe in the main campus but believes in one university in many places, which are Tempe Campus, West Campus, Polytechnic Campus, Downtown Phoenix Campus, and ASU Colleges at Lake Havasu City. University is offering undergraduate degree programmes, minors and certificates courses, graduate degree programs, and online programmes. Popular courses include Business, Management, Marketing, Engineering, Social Sciences, Biological and Biomedical Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Accomplishment & Alumni
Research institutions headquartered on the Tempe campus and integrated throughout the ASU knowledge enterprise include the Biodesign Institute, the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability, and the Institute for the Science of Teaching and Learning. The university ranked 10th in Undergraduate Teachings, 2nd in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics, and 9th in the First-Year Experience by US News. The university was selected as The Entrepreneurial University at Deshpande Symposium for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Higher Education in 2016. University boasts of many notable alumni such as American TV host Jimmy Kimmel, Fashion Designer Kate Spade, Basketball Player James Harden, 23rd Governor of Arizona Doug Ducey, Actor David Spade, etc.
Student Diversity & Visiting Companies
With a student to faculty ratio of 20:1, it has total enrollments of 51,585 students out of which 8,921 are international students, and its student gender distribution is 56% males and 46% females. 26% of students live in college-owned, operated, affiliated housings, whereas 74% of students live off-campus in personal accommodations. The undergraduate gender ratio stands at 57% men and 43% women. Approximately 65% of the students come from within Arizona and roughly 9000 international students representing 50 countries also pursue their academic ambitions at the institution. Many elite companies are on the list of visiting companies at Arizona State University, such as Intel Corporation, Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, and Google. It also has featured a partnership with Verde Solution, Arizona Commerce Authority, and Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

International students at Arizona State University do not qualify for federal and state financial aid. There are other options available for students to help them fund their education at ASU. Students are eligible for merit-based scholarship at the New American University. However, the seats are limited and are offered to international students who are enrolled in undergraduate degree programmes. The candidate must demonstrate high academic achievement to receive this scholarship.
Private Financial Aid
There are various private funded scholarships available for students enrolled at Arizona State University. Candidates can search for such scholarships, understand the eligibility requirement and apply for the scholarship.
