Overview

Anglia Ruskin University, situated in the United Kingdom's East Anglia, is one of the top prestigious universities in the region. Founded by William John Beamont in 1858, the university is amongst the post-1992 universities. ARU has four campuses - Chelmsford, Cambridge, Peterborough, and London - as well as partnered institutes both in the UK and in international countries. Keeping in mind the development and infrastructure of the institute, the university has spent over gbp115 million on its campuses to provide the best learning facilities to both national and international students.

Talking about the students, Anglia Ruskin University has over 39,400 students from all over the world, extending its campuses with the College of West Anglia in King's Lynn, Wisbech and Cambridge. ARU has four faculties - Faculty of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Faculty of Business and Law, Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine & Social Care and Faculty of Science & Engineering. The Institute has one of the largest business schools in the East of England - Lord Ashcroft International Business School (LAIBS). ARU has been awarded the Entrepreneurial University of the Year in the 2014 Times Higher Education Awards and Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship at the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards 2016.

Here is how candidates can apply to Anglia Ruskin University for both undergraduate and graduate courses. 

Candidates can kick-start the application process by logging in to UCAS application portal with the 'Apply Now' button or may create a new account. The application fee varies for both undergraduate and graduate courses. It is advisable to check beforehand and keep every document and other information required ready. Step 1: Select your course

Choose the course you want to go ahead with and register with the UCAS application portal. Candidates can also search for courses through the course finder available on the application portal. Grab all the information like university’s placement records, tuition fee for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, living costs, course curriculum and work permit rules, etc before applying. 

Step 2: Gather Language proficiency test scores and other documents

Standardised exams like GMAT, GRE and language proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL are mandatory to upload at UCAS during the application process. However, some of the courses may also ask for candidates' online portfolio or assignments that usually take place on Skype, Zoom, etc. Other important documents to upload include - LOR, SOP, financial proof, passport, student visa, essays, updated CV and official transcripts of previous academic degrees. So, collect all the required documents to get ahead with your application process hassle-free.

Step 3: Submit application

After filling up the application form and attaching all the required documents, go through your application twice before submitting. Also make sure that you have provided all academic and professional details accurately. Now to get admission at Anglia Ruskin University, you may submit the form. International Excellence Scholarship

Anglia Ruskin University offers International Excellence Scholarship to students who have the ability of exceptional academic and extra-curricular achievement. While applying for a scholarship ARU just ask to write a short statement to support their scholarship application. 

Eligibility criteria

To know whether you are eligible for this scholarship or not, check out the pointers below:

  • The candidate must be an international student

  • The candidate's course must be starting in January or September 2022 at the university's Cambridge or Chelmsford campuses

  • He or she must be studying a full-time three-year undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree

How to Apply

The candidate is required to complete the application form along with a 500-word supporting statement focusing on why the applicant is suitable for this particular scholarship.

He or she will also need to submit supporting documentation, which the candidates can check on the website. Some of them include evidence of your extra-curricular activities and a certificate or letter from a senior member of the organisation the candidate has been associated with.

Perks

The scholarship will award the candidate with USD 4,000. This scholarship helps to get a fee discount. ARU will deduct the amount from the first year tuition fee. 

International Merit Scholarship

Anglia Ruskin University's International Merit Scholarship is awarded to international students whose academic achievements are outstanding.

The scholarship is valid for undergraduate, postgraduate and research students.

  • GBP 2,000 to Bachelors students who’ve achieved BBB grades or above

  • GBP 1,000 to Bachelors students who’ve achieved CCC grades or above

  • GBP 2,000 to applicants with a 2:1 who are applying for a PG taught degree

  • GBP 1,000 to applicants with a 2:2 who are applying for a PG taught degree

This scholarship provides a fee discount. The university will deduct it from the candidates' tuition fees.

He or she should start thinking about how they will work towards securing their placement and where they would like to be.

If the candidate is an MBA student, he or she will be required to produce a portfolio where he or she must demonstrate how they have applied theory, practical knowledge and learnings in the office environment. The portfolio is generally of 8,000 word research-infused paper, with a 2,000 word reflective diary.
