Founded in 1925, the University of Miami is a private research university of South Florida. It is a vibrant and diverse academic institute that focuses on advanced learning and teaching programmes. It is mainly a research-based university that is engaged in many research work and sponsored programmes on an annual basis. It is a rapidly progressing university and has emerged to become one of the top research universities of America.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The university comprises 11 schools and colleges that offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in more than 180 majors and programmes. The main campus of the University of Miami is the Coral Gables campus and it is the home to two colleges and seven schools. The campus expands over an area of 239 acres and it is about seven miles from downtown Miami. The university campus is the best destination for arts and culture. While the university offers hundreds of courses in various disciplines like engineering, education, psychology and marine science, the best course at the university is offered by the Miller School of Medicine.
