An official was reported saying that around 2.60 lakh students have reached Australia for their higher education soon after its borders opened for international students.
Abdul Ekram, the Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner-South Asia said that the country has also unravelled Study Australia Industry Experience for Indian students studying at Australian universities to increase their skills of employability.
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) recently conducted its one-day roadshow on “Study Australia” in Chennai to provide key information regarding studying in the land of kangaroos, communicating with university representatives and providing particulars regarding visas and scholarships.

The roadshows will also be conducted in Kochi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Jaipur. It will help students determine key factors of studying in Australia. Students also got the opportunity to understand the various courses and match them with their interests.
Mr Ekram said that they are working closely with Indian students to help them make easier and best decisions to come to Australia and study. The roadshow provided “updated, reliable and relevant information to students, their parents and institutes.
Students were provided with the opportunity to interact with representatives of more than 26 Australian universities.
He also stressed that Australia provides students with a world-class education and strong career pathways. He attributes the increase in the number of international students due to the quality of living, high education standards, and post-study work opportunities.

It has led to the massive inflow of around 2.6 lakh students in the country post its border opening in Mid December 2021.
