The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) conducted the sixth round of the Express Entry Canada draw on September 14, 2022. The number of permanent residence (PR) Invitation to Apply (ITA) drawn in the round has increased since the previous round.
3,250 ITAs were issued in the sixth round, which was 500 more than the ITAs issued in the fifth round. 50% of the increase, that is 250 draws, were credible to the first draw of the sixth round, and the rest were achieved in Wednesday’s draw, marking up the total increase to 500.
2,750 ITAs were issued at the end of the fifth round.

No specific program was decided upon for the draw and the ITAs would be issued under the three Express Entry programs, namely the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
The Express Entry draws were on hold from December 2020. During this period, ITAs were issued only for CEC and Provincial Nominee Programme (PNP) eligible candidates. Starting September 2021, CEC draws were also put on hold.
IRCC resumed Express Entry Draw on July 6, 2022.
According to CIC’s report, the sixth round’s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off score was 511, which was less than five points in comparison to the general CRS cut-off. Several rounds of Express Entry Canada 2022 draws have had a lesser CRS cut-off score. The maximum decrease recorded is eight to nine points.

According to the plans announced by IRCC for Express Entry Canada 2023 draws, CRS can lose its vitality more.
IRCC has planned huge adjustments and changes for Express Entry Canada 2023 draws. The focus shall be reorganised to target individuals who can support Canada’s workforce through their specific work experience, education, or language ability groups.
In 2022, Canada has invited 40,785 immigrants through Express Entry Canada until now. The ongoing pace can help Canada to exceed its original annual target of 432,000 by the end of 2022.
