New Zealand's "Recovery Visa" Scheme to Expedite Skilled Workers Entry

A new visa scheme “Recovery Visa” has been launched by the New Zealand government to quicken the entry of skilled workers who can assist the country with the recent weather-related disasters it faced.

This visa is targeted at foreign specialists to enable them to come to New Zealand as soon as possible to provide support and assistance in different ways which include emergency response, risk assessment, cleanup, infrastructure and stabilisation and repair of infrastructure and housing. They must also intend to provide direct recovery support.

The Recovery Visa has been announced in response to the disastrous impact of cyclone Gabrielle which has caused major flooding and left the countrymen with other problems.
