Otago Polytechnic is an open New Zealand tertiary education institution established in 1886 in Dunedin. The foundation of Otago Polytechnic follows its family line back to the Dunedin Technical School, which was built up in the early years to give evening classes to working individuals. The school extended further by taking on the night and day time training of students, experts, and experts. In 1966 the school was part of an auxiliary and Otago Polytechnic, which opened on 1 February 1966. It is affiliated with the Public Tertiary Education Institution. It is ranked at # 9 in New Zealand and holds 3532 on the Webometrics world position.
Infrastructure Campus and Courses
The college consists of three different grounds, to be specific the Dunedin campuses, Central Otago campus, and Auckland International campus. The Dunedin campus includes the school of Design, Natural Sciences, Engineering, and Arts. The central library is additionally situated on this ground. It comprises thousands of books, journals, and research papers. The Central Otago campus highlights two learning centres that offer computer instructional courses. The third ground, Auckland International campus, has been developed for global understudies and includes the Department of Business and Management and the Department of Information Technology. All the campuses offer facilities required by students. Moreover, numerous cafés and bistros are near the grounds. Likewise, general stores, clinical stores, and writing material shops are found close by the grounds. Otago Polytech offers a wide scope of courses that includes 31 bachelor’s courses.
Popular courses include Bachelor of nursing, engineering technology, design, information technology, architectural studies, occupational therapy, applied management, visual arts, etc.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Otago Polytechnic contributed more than $445 million to the Otago economy in 2018, as indicated by their most recent Economic Impact Report. In the course of recent years, 20 of the instructors have been awarded by the Government. Otago Polytechnic has won the Simpson Grierson Impact Award at the debut Rainbow Excellence Awards. The foundation has a rundown of outstanding alumni that incorporates Holly Robinson (Silver Medallist at Paralympics in 2016), Glen Riley (Environmental teacher), Manassah Kutia (Rugby League representative in Otago) and Hayden Chapman (Assistant expert at All Blacks).

Otago Polytechnic offers tuition and training to both New Zealand and international students. About 9000 students across the three campuses pursue their academic goals. The teacher to student ratio at the institution is 1:16. Approximately 1200 international students have made the campus home for the duration of their education.
