British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM for the present session 2023-24 have been announced by British Council. 26 scholarships and Fellowships are reserved particularly for Indian and other south Asian countries' women STEM scholars.
The British Council issued a press release stating that the women scholars who will be selected from India will be able to study for an Early Academic Fellowship master's degree at a renowned UK university.
The scholarship will provide funds for the applicants’ tuition fees, stipend, visa, travel costs, health coverage fees, English language support and special support for mothers.

The scholars will also get a regular platform to maintain with the UK an active engagement in the alumni network while also inspiring the next STEM women generation.
The scholarships are merit-based and will be awarded to students with no country-specific number cap. It will enable them to promote research and innovation in their home country after getting exposed to the UK’s renowned STEM fields.
Women STEM scholars can pursue courses like Data Science, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Medicine, Public Health, Robotics, Information Technology, Machine Learning, Information Technology, Renewable Energy and Energy Management and several others.
In the previous academic year, 2022-23, 21 women from India received scholarships and are presently studying STEM in UK.

Students have to make direct applications to the participating universities. It is possible to make more than one application but one needs to apply through preferred channels.
It is necessary to meet all the eligibility requirements before applying for the scholarships. The deadlines of the same will vary according to the university.
