The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is inviting applications from international students for the 2021-22 academic year. The applications are for the most popular courses in the fields of humanities, engineering, business and science.
Courses at HKUST are designed to help students develop leadership, ingenuity and entrepreneurship skills and keep up with the 21st century job market.
Applications to HKUST will be accepted on a rolling basis to ensure more flexibility for applicants from India due to the pandemic. In addition, applications with international qualifications are being considered on a rolling basis after the original deadline of January 14, 2021.

HKUST was ranked #1 in the 2020 edition of Times Higher Education’s Young University Rankings and also featured in the QS World University Rankings’s top 30 global universities 2021. The university also stands out due to its proven track record of employment after graduation and promoting the culture of entrepreneurship among graduates.

Eligibility Criteria for Admissions at HKUST 2021
Students who wish to apply to HKUST need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

Must fulfil the program-specific academic requirements.

Must obtain the minimum English language scores for the particular program of study.

Non-academic achievements will also be reviewed.

For students from Indian Boards, they must have pass certificates obtained on completion of Standard XII. Their overall average should be 85% or above.

Must also submit SAT scores, if taken.

Scholarships for International Students at HKUST 2021
HKUST offers merit-based scholarships to international students who have an outstanding academic record. These may be one-off or renewable and full or partial scholarships against tuition fees.
No separate application is required for scholarships at the university. The highest value of HKUST scholarships is equivalent to full tuition fee plus an allowance of approx. INR 5 lakh 13 thousand per academic year. The same shall be renewable for the entire duration of the program provided the student manages to achieve satisfactory academic results.
