To connect Indians with Canadian students, Canada High Commission situated in India announced a new Facebook group.

The Twitter handle goes by the name “ Canada in India”, announced the creation of a new Facebook Group for Indian students to connect and bond with their Canadian counterparts.

It is the official Twitter account of the Canada High Commission in India and it calls the Indian student community to join the new CanCits-India Facebook group. It asks to connect with Canadian students where they can exchange travel tips and experiences and get updates.

They also reminded them to complete the travelling registration of Indians abroad in its Government of Canada portal.

Lakhs of Indian students go to Canada in search of higher education opportunities and jobs and to get Canadian citizenship. The major chunk of international students studying in Canada is Indians.

The country also announced welcoming around 1.45 million immigrants in the next three years with 60% projected to be in the economic class.

Canada is also seeing a record number of job vacancies. The labour market hints that people with qualifications and in-demand skills will have favourable outcomes. The immigration system of the country attracts individuals who have the relevant human capital which will ultimately lead to success in the labour market.

Those who wish to migrate to Canada through provisional immigration programmes can apply for PNPs in British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec. PNPs are an economic immigration route which allows the provincial government to select candidates willing to fill up the urgent gaps in the labour market and integrate into the provincial economy.
