Florida Polytechnic University is a public university located in Lakeland, Florida. It was established in 2012 as the first public polytechnic university in Florida with a vision to offer the best STEM education in the region. Florida Polytechnic University was initially established as the branch campus of the University of South Florida. Today, it is an independent university campus that expands over an area of 170 acres. The university is a STEM-centric institute and some of the popular courses offered at the institute include Business Analytics, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management etc.

Florida Polytechnic University has around 1300 students enrolled in undergraduate courses and most of them prefer living on the college campus. The classroom sessions at the University are held with a strength of fewer than 20 students and the ratio of student to faculty at Florida Polytechnic University is 15:1. The strong collaboration between the Florida Polytechnic and corporates, industries and organisations helps students join the internship programmes and also get full-time employment after graduation. Some of its industry partners include the Florida Department of Transportation, Microsoft, Cisco, Mosaic etc.

Florida Poly will be conducting spring 2021 academic classes on campus with necessary precautions like social distancing, mask usage, personal hygiene and regular sanitisation. Everyone is encouraged to cooperate in campus for the safety of all.
Students, staff and faculty returning to the campus are required to take the COVID-19 test
Quarantine and isolation facilities are available on campus. Those who show COVID-19 symptoms must report the same to the university
The Presidential Scholars program is a competitive scholarship and offered to students who have excellent academic achievement and are highly motivated. Mainly students must show their interests in Math and Science
Value: $50,000 scholarship paid over four years.
How to Apply for the Presidential Scholars program?
Based on the application for admission students are directly recommended to join the Presidential Scholars competition. It comprises two parts
The competitions will take place between December 7 and January 29. Students must submit their video and complete their interview within the defined dates.
Alexander Scholars programme is designed for students who hold outstanding academic marks in high school and demonstrate some extra achievements. It is for students who get enrolled in undergraduate degree programs at Florida Polytechnic University.
Value: The scholarship covers the full tuition fee and is renewable. Also, students get a chance to be automatically enrolled in a Master's programme at the university if they maintain a 3.4 GPA or higher through the course of study
How to Apply for the Alexander Scholars program?
There is no separate application for Alexander Scholars. Students who apply for undergraduate admissions at Florida Polytechnic University are automatically considered for Alexander Scholars,
Provost Scholars programme offers scholarship to students who are talented and have an outstanding academic background. Students enrolled in the undergraduate degree programme at Florida Polytechnic University are eligible to be considered for the Provost Scholars.
Value: Provost Scholars receive a scholarship covering tuition and fees for four years.
How to Apply for Provost Scholars?
There is no separate application for Provost Scholars. Students who apply for undergraduate admissions at Florida Polytechnic University are automatically considered for scholarships.
