Ben Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), a fast-growing research university in Israel, has invited applications from eligible students for the eighth edition of its ‘Global Health International Summer Program’.
The School of Public Health is leading the programme, which is a part of BGU’s Faculty of Health Sciences. The school also has a membership in the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) and is a leader in public health policy in Israel and abroad. The prominent research programmes undertaken by the school are related to the impact of geopolitics on pollution, access to healthcare services and well-being.

About the Programme
Global Health is an interdisciplinary field that incorporates both theory and social involvement while including disciplines such as sociology, political science, ethics, economics, medicine, epidemiology, etc. It broadens the traditional outlook on health by considering social and environmental determinants affecting an individual’s health.
This programme studies the impact of ecological factors on health and also examines the effect of inequalities in class, gender and race on access to healthcare services. Here are some important details of the Global Health International Summer Program:

Students will be provided with a comprehensive learning experience that will combine classroom study, professional field trips, and a one-week practicum.

They will be able to learn about various aspects of global health decision making such as globalisation, ethics and migration.

Admission Requirements
Given below is the admission requirement or eligibility criteria for admission to the Global Health International Summer Program at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev. The eligible students are:

Those who are in their third year or higher year of bachelor’s degree.

Those who are pursuing master’s degrees or PhD in the fields of health sciences.
