Scholarships for New First-Year International Students

International students enrolled in the first year of studies at Colorado State University (CSU) are considered for the scholarship discussed below:

Honours Scholarship

It is the scholarship awarded to first-year students who are enrolled in the Honors programme at the Colorado State University. The student must be enrolled in the first year of studies at the CSU. The applicant must not have attended any college or university after high school before getting enrolled at Colorado State.

The student must be seeking a degree at the CSU main campus and should not be enrolled in CSU online courses to receive the scholarship. 

Also, the scholarship is only available for the fall term. It is not awarded to students enrolled for the spring or summer session.

Scholarship Amount

The value of an Honors Scholarship is $4,000 ($1,000 per year).

How to Apply? 

There is no need to fill in a separate application for the scholarship. Outstanding students are automatically considered for the scholarship. 

Students who are selected for the award are notified via email and one can check the notifications on the Financial Aid Awards page of RAMweb.

RAMweb is an online portal that provides access to financial information, application status, registration, personal records and more for new students at CSU. 

Application Deadline 

To be considered for this scholarship, a complete Honors application must be submitted by February 1st.

Scholarship Based on Admissions Application

International students seeking admission for the Spring or Fall term at CSU are considered for some scholarships based on their admission application form.

It is a merit-based scholarship and the academic performance is used to determine whether the applicant is eligible to receive the scholarship or not. The test score of ACT and SAT is optional. However, the other eligibility criteria that a student must meet to receive the scholarship is as follows:

  • Must be enrolled in full-time studies.

  • Must be a new student enrolled in the first year of studies.

  • Must not be enrolled for admission for the summer term.

  • Must not be enrolled in any other college or university after high school before getting enrolled at CSU.

How to Apply? 

The applicant must send the complete application form along with the transcript, essay, letter of recommendation and processing fee to be considered for scholarship. Also, one must meet the specific academic requirements defined by the College.
