PM Modi Encourages Indian Graduates to Avail Quad Fellowship for Opportunities in STEM

The introduction of the Quad Fellowship programme by the global leaders of STEM will enhance academic excellence and people-to-people connections among the Quad countries. Therefore, PM Modi has encouraged Indian students to join this initiative and become part of the future generation of STEM leaders and innovators.

PM Modi Encourages Indian Graduates to Avail Quad Fellowship for Opportunities in STEM

The STEM leaders of India, Australia, the US, and Japan announced the Quad Fellowship Programme in Tokyo. As per the programme, 100 students from member countries will be funded to study for graduate degrees in science, technology, engineering, and maths(STEM) to study in the United States.

The Quad Fellowship programme is a spectacular and one-of-a-kind initiative that will bring together thebest STEM minds of India, Australia, the United States, and Japan.

PM Modi said in a message on the Quad Fellowship Programme that it will provide a great opportunity for Indian students to pursue graduate and doctoral programmes.He strongly encouraged Indian students to apply for this programme and become part of the next generation of STEM leaders and innovators to make the world a better place, he added.

Kishida, together with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US Vice President Joe Biden, and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, have opened a Quad Fellowship application.

The Quad Fellowship, which will fund a total of 100 Indian, Australian, Japanese, and American students to study in the United States for graduate degrees in STEM fields each year, is now accepting applications, the White House stated in a statement.

Among the other benefits of pursuing STEM education abroad, the Quad Fellowship is designed to equip outstanding STEM graduate students to promote research and innovation throughout their careers while also making a positive social impact.

Scholarships, immersive and exciting events at the confluence of STEM and society, mentorship and career-advancing programming, and cross-cultural interaction opportunities, as per the statement.

The Quad Fellowship application is now open and will close on June 30, 2022. In the autumn of 2023, the first class of Quad Fellows will arrive on campus.

This programme, which was unveiled in September of last year, would create a network of science and technology specialists dedicated to boosting innovation and collaboration in the public, private, and academic sectors, as well as among Quad countries.
