The Washington State University has a total of 5 campuses, with WSU Pullman being the major campus. Along with WSU Pullman campus, students will be able to pursue the course of their choice at WSU Campuses in Spokane, Tri-Cities, Vancouver and Everett. At Washington State University, students will be able to pursue any one among a total of 95 undergraduate majors, 86 minors, and over 100 in-major specialisations. WSU Pullman offers nearly 150 graduate and professional degree programmes. Students from different countries choose to pursue one of the 78 masters degrees as well as 65 doctoral degrees.

Scholarship for International Students at Washington State University

Qualifying international students are automatically considered for scholarship at Washington State University. The Office of International Programme offers scholarships to international students who are eligible for scholarship. 

Following table shows the scholarship offered to international students at the university:

The scholarship is renewed if the student meets the following criteria:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
  • Maintain 12 credits in each semester.

International Merit Awards

Students holding F1 Visa are offered and enrolled for admission in undergraduate studies at Pullman campus are eligible for International Merit Awards. Following are the criteria to be amongst which candidates must meet at least one:

  • Must hold a minimum GPA of 3.60.
  • Must offer some unusual service to the university or community.
  • Must demonstrate extraordinary achievements.

Candidates must submit the Office of International Programs Awards and Scholarship Application Form to be eligible for the scholarship. Following documents must be submitted with the application form:

  • Personal Statement
  • Letter of Recommendation

The scholarship covers a $2,000 tuition waiver. 
 

Emergency Tuition Support Award

The scholarship is offered to students who are enrolled at the university and need financial aid in circumstances which are beyond their control like loss of scholarship or financial aid, loss of funding due to death or illness  etc.

Following are the points which is considered while offering Emergency Tuition Support Award:

  • The student must hold an F1 or J1 Visa at WSU Pullman.
  • The student must be in the final year of the degree programme.
  • There must not be any other source of funding. 

Students must fill in the Office of International Programs Awards and Scholarship Application Form to be considered for the award.

Applicants must fill in the certificate of financial status and provide all the supporting documents along with the application. A detailed explanation of the cause of loss of funds and the academic status must be provided.

Value: One time award. $1500 reduction to the tuition fees. 

Departmental and Programme Awards

Individual department offers scholarships to international students. Candidates must submit WSU general scholarship to be considered for awards offered by the individual department.

The eligibility criteria varies department-wise. Candidates can check the details of scholarship and required documents through the official website of the department.
