MBA Aspirants Can Now Take GMAT Online Exam Twice

As the COVID-19 cases across the world continue to rise, GMAC has announced additional flexibility by increasing the number of GMAT online exam attempts from one to two. 

Now, You Can Take GMAT Online Exam Twice!

GMAC, the conducting body of GMAT Online Exam, has announced that candidates willbe able to take the exam twice from September 23, 2020. All GMAT Online Exam attempts will now be counted in the 12-monthrolling periodand lifetime limit caps.

Announcing the additional flexibility, GMAC has highlighted that the GMAT Online Exam taken before September 23 will not be included in the lifetime limit cap.

Senior director and head of the GMAT product at GMAC Vineet Chhabra said that the launch of the GMAT Online Exam has succeeded in providing the required flexibility during the unprecedented times and supporting the needs of candidates and schools. The increase in the number of attempts from one to two will give test-takers more flexibility of having an option to retake the GMAT from home in case there is any uncertainty in the availability of test centres.

The primary focus of GMAC has been to allow candidates to continue with their b-school application and admission deadlines despite COVID-19. Earlier, GMAC also extended the availability of the GMAT online exam until the end of 2020 along with the introducingaccommodations for test-takers with disabilities, use of physical whiteboards, and the allowing candidatesto review their score before sending it to universities.

The GMAC has also reinstated cancellation and rescheduling fees and the price of the GMAT Online Exam. Starting September 23, candidates will have to pay US$250 to take the exam, and the GMAT Online Eeam rescheduling fee and cancellation fees shall be US$25 and US$100 respectively.

Chabbra went on to saythat GMAC will continue to provide flexibility and choice to GMAT test-takers and introduce solutions according to the evolving needs of candidates.
