Established in 1917, Bentley University was founded by Harry C. Bentley who until 1953 had served as the President of the school. Bentley University undergraduate and graduate business programmes are accredited by AACSB International — the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Also, Bentley University is accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), which benchmarks quality in management and business education. It has been Ranked #84 in U.S Best Business School 2020 by Bloomberg 2020, Ranked #40 in Master in Finance Ranking 2018 by Financial Times (FT) 2018, Ranked #50 in UG Business Program Rankings and Ranked #2 in Best Regional Universities North Rankings, by U.S. News & World Report 2020.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Bentley University is spread across 163-acres of land and is divided into two major segments. The Upper Campus houses all the classrooms and most of the academic buildings, and even a bookstore, a few upperclassmen dorms, and three freshmen dorms. The Lower Campus has the Dana Athletic Centre, more upperclassmen dorms, and a multi-purpose arena. And lastly, the North Campus, which houses 4 Residence Halls. Bentley offers Bachelor of Science degrees in 14 business fields and Bachelor of Arts degrees in 11 arts and sciences disciplines. The most popular majors at Bentley University include Finance, General; Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, Other; Accounting; Marketing/Marketing Management, General; and Business Administration and Management, General.
Accomplishments & Alumni
Bentley University has partnered with a variety of organizations to enhance activities related to diversity. These organizations include Massachusetts Business School Collaborative, Boston Women’s Compact, Commonwealth Compact, and The PhD Project. Notable alumni include George J. Bates, a former member of the United States House of Representatives from the state of Massachusetts, Gailanne Cariddi, a former member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, David Krikorian, former candidate for Ohio's 2nd congressional district, Robert B. Kennedy, American politician and thousands more.
