University of Strathclyde Deans Int’l Excellence Award 2023 Applications Open

Prospective undergraduate students applying to study at the University of Strathclyde can now apply for the Dean’s International Excellence Award for courses offered under the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. As per reports, the award has been earmarked for the upcoming 2023-24 academic year.

Conferring an award of GBP 3,500 per year for the entire duration of the course programme, the University of Strathclyde Dean’s Excellence Award has been designed for all international students holding an admission offer letter.

According to the university’s website, the application for the scholarship opens on 1 March 2023 and will continue to accept applications till 3 July 2023. Applications to the scholarship will only be accepted via the official website, therefore, interested candidates are advised to visit the website and follow the directions as outlined.

Eligibility Criteria for the University of Strathclyde Deans Excellence Award

All interested students must satisfy the following criteria to be considered for the award for the upcoming batch.

• Be present for the start of their classes in September/October 2023.

• Have paid their tuition fee deposit by 31st July 2023.

• Be registered and classified as an international student for fee purposes.

• Hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate course under the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde.

• This scholarship is also available for the Graduate Entry LLB course.

• Students should be funding their studies on their own. In other words, they should not be holding any other scholarship from a government office or embassy.

In addition to this, candidates may be required to submit documents as proof of meeting the eligibility criteria for the award, if required. Candidates will also be required to meet the following terms and conditions for the award.

• All parameters of the eligibility criteria, as mentioned above, should be met to be considered for the scholarship.

• The award has been designed for the 2023-24 academic year, therefore, candidates entering during this academic year will be the only ones eligible.

• Notification of the winners of the award will be published within 2 weeks of submitting the application form.

• The award value of the Dean’s International Excellence Award at the University of Strathclyde is set at GBP 3,500 each.

• The award will be made towards the payment of the student’s tuition fees, subject to academic progression.

According to the regulations, the University of Strathclyde does not offer more than one scholarship to any student per academic year. Moreover, this scholarship is offered on a rolling basis, therefore, some students may receive their scholarships early in the application process. Since the award is earmarked for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, students who either defer or change faculties will not be eligible for the scholarship.
