Indian students have a large presence at all national universities in Ukraine, especially at medical and aeronautical universities, and many applications are being processed for the 2022-2023 intake.

Over 1,000 students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh pursue bachelorsand master's education in Ukraine each year. Nearly 80% of them are studying medicine, dentistry, or nursing.

Considering the limited number of medical seats in India and the fierce competition, applicants who miss out on a few marks usually look for options in other countries. A counselor at an overseas educational consultancy in Punjagutta said that Ukraine has proven to be one of the best destinations for students because of its lower learning costs and higher educational standards.

In Ukraine, tuition for MBBS courses ranges from $3,500 to $5,000 (approximately INR 2,62,500 - 3,75,500), whereas in private medical institutions in India it is between INR 7 lakh and INR 10 lakh. There are university and academic institutions in Ukraine that have been around for 200 to 250 years and are home to medical, dental, and nursing programs with a very advanced infrastructure.
