H-1B Visa Registrations for FY 2023 to Begin from March 1

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on, January 28, 2022, said that the initial registrations for the H-1B visas for the fiscal year 2023 would start on March 1 and remain open until March 18, 2022.

H-1B Visa Registrations for FY 2023 to Begin from March 1

The registrations for the most demanding H-1B visa for the fiscal year 2023 will start on March 1, 2022. Since 2007, about 70% of the new US visas under the H-1B program have been issued to Indians. The H-1B visa registration will go on till March 18, 2022.

During this period, peoplecan register onthe online system and submit their registrations. Individuals who are representatives of the petitioning parties and have already submitted their registrations can also do so during this period. Each registration will carry a confirmation number, which is used to track the status of the application. The confirmation number will only be used to track the registrations and not to track the status of the case.

Individuals who want to be a cap subject and participate in the selection of the visa recipients must register each of their potential recipients using their myUSCIS account. In addition, prospective visa recipients who register using their own registrations will also be able to create new accounts on February 21, 2022.

Even though representatives may add new clients to their accounts, both the registrants and the representatives must register before March 1. In a press release, the agency noted that the online registration process will allow prospective visa holders to prepare and submit multiple registrations for different clients.

The agency said that prospective visa holders will be selected randomly after receiving enough registrations. The H-1B visa is also known as a non-immigrant visa. It allows US companies to hire foreign workers from countries like China and India. Each year, the US issues around 65,000 new H-1B visas. Around 70% of the visas granted are to Indians. Around 20,000 H-1B visas are also reserved for holders of US master's degrees.
