On March 7, 2022, the province of Saskatchewan introduced the Tech Talent Pathway, a new immigration pathway, which aims to attract high-tech workers to the province. The Tech Talent Pathway is a new program designed to address the critical labour shortages in the tech sector. It will allow employers to attract more skilled workers to support their growth and increase the provinces global competitiveness.
The province's immigration and career training minister, Jeremy Harrison, noted that the tech industry will be a driving force for economic growth in the province. Employers can now attract the skilled workers they need through the Tech Talent Pathway. The new program will help tech workers already in the province and those who have been recruited from outside Canada.
According to Aaron Genest, president of SaskTech, the program will help retain and attract highly skilled immigrants. The Tech Talent Pathway is a unique program that will allow companies in the province to attract and retain skilled workers.It will also streamline the immigration process.

An individual must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the program: have a job approval letter from a recognised technology sector employer. If the job approval letter is from a tech sector company, then the applicant should have a minimum of 5 levels of Canadian Language Benchmark. For the program, an individual must have at least one year of work experience in an occupation that is eligible for professional licensing in the province.
For those with at least one year of work experience in a tech occupation, they should also be eligible to apply for professional licensing in the province. The program's guidelines can change at any time. However, the information on the government's website at the time of application is the most accurate. The amount of nominations that the province can make for the program is decided by the federal government and the IRCC.
If you arefrom outside Canada and have legal status in the country, then you can also qualify for the program. Regardless of if you are an Express Entry candidate or not, you should still apply for a job in the tech industry in Saskatchewan. To be eligible, you must have a job approval letter from SINP.

If you are from Saskatchewan and looking for a job, you must be working for at least six months for the company that's offering the job. Those who are currently working for the company that's hiring should also meet the language requirements of their new employer. For the language requirement, they should be able to meet the requirements of their current employer.
If your occupation requires licensing, then you should also be eligible for the program. For engineers, you should also provide a letter from the APEGS that shows that your application has been approved.
If the job offer relates to the education that you're looking for, then you should also provide proof of that education. It should be a three-year or a master's degree. Those who have already been accepted through the Express Entry program may also be eligible through the IRCC's other streams. For permanent residency, the Express Entry applications were processed by the IRCC.

Unfortunately, the processing time for Express Entry applications is currently taking longer than expected due to a massive immigration backlog. If you're from outside Canada and have legal status in the country, you might qualify for the Express Entry sub-category.
Before you can apply, you should first confirm that your Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Code match the requirements of the program. To get a profile in the system, you need to be a part of one of the programs offered by Express Entry. The Federal Skilled Trades Program is a third program that accepts tech workers who weren't eligible for the other two.
