On March 7, 2022, the province of Saskatchewan introduced the Tech Talent Pathway, a new immigration pathway, which aims to attract high-tech workers to the province. The Tech Talent Pathway is a new program designed to address the critical labour shortages in the tech sector. It will allow employers to attract more skilled workers to support their growth and increase the provinces global competitiveness.
The province's immigration and career training minister, Jeremy Harrison, noted that the tech industry will be a driving force for economic growth in the province. Employers can now attract the skilled workers they need through the Tech Talent Pathway. The new program will help tech workers already in the province and those who have been recruited from outside Canada.
According to Aaron Genest, president of SaskTech, the program will help retain and attract highly skilled immigrants. The Tech Talent Pathway is a unique program that will allow companies in the province to attract and retain skilled workers. It will also streamline the immigration process.
