The job market for a foreigner in Kyrgyzstan is majorly available in three sectors namely Pharma, Teaching and Tourism. The working conditions in Kyrgyzstan are balanced due to which several foreigners apply for jobs in Kyrgyzstan, especially in the pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, job opportunities in Kyrgyzstan are also available in the food processing and textile industries.

Do You Wish to Work While Studying in Kyrgyzstan?
Kyrgyzstan allows foreign citizens to apply for a work visa in case they have a job offer letter from an employer. To apply for a work visa, candidates can visit the e-visa portal of Kyrgyzstan, select the work visa option and complete the application process.
Types of Work Visa Kyrgyzstan
There are two types of work visa that candidates can apply for in Kyrgyzstan:
W1 Visa: The W1 Visa is issued to a foreigner who wishes to obtain a work permit in Kyrgyzstan or for individual entrepreneurship in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Under the W1 Visa option, two additional options are available, i.e. looking for a job in Kyrgyzstan and Working in Kyrgyzstan.
The “Looking for a Job” option is available for foreigners who wish to enter Kyrgyzstan based on a quota to obtain a work permit card.
The “Working in Kyrgyzstan” is the second option and is used by overseas candidates after they have received a work permit card from an employer in Kyrgyzstan.
W2 Visa: The W2 visa is issued to an applicant for whom there is a different procedure of performing a type of labour activity, without getting a work permit based on the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Here is the list of documents required to apply for a work visa in Kyrgyzstan:
A copy of the passport of a foreign nation.
A letter of invitation from the employer.
A copy of the charter from the inviting organisation.
Certificate from tax services on debts.
Insurance premium certificate.
A copy of the work quota.
A copy of the work permit card.
After acquiring an MBBS degree from one of the medical universities in Kyrgyzstan, Indian students will be faced with three options. They can either stay in Kyrgyzstan and apply for jobs, take an MCI Screening Test to practise in India or apply for jobs in other countries where the degree is recognised.
Work in Kyrgyzstan
Graduates who are foreign nationals who wish to practice medicine in Kyrgyzstan will have to acquire a permit from the Government of Kyrgyzstan to do so. Candidates who get the permit will be eligible to work at both government and private hospitals in Kyrgyzstan.
Practice Medicine in India
Since MBBS degrees received from universities in Kyrgyzstan is recognized by MCI, candidates can start their practice in India after completing their graduation. However, all candidates who have graduated from Kyrgyzstan universities will have to appear for the MCI screening test to legally practise medicine in India. On passing this test, candidates can also take up research opportunities with popular medical institutes in India.
Apply for Jobs in other Countries
An MBBS degree from Kyrgyzstan is globally recognized and thus candidates can also choose to practise medicine in other countries like Germany, the USA, UK, Russia etc.
Most medical colleges in Kyrgyzstan are recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Thus, an Indian student who holds an MBBS degree from an MCI approved college in Kyrgyzstan is eligible to take the MCI Screening Test in India.
The Medical Council of India Screening Test in India is also known as Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE). It is conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to issue a medical licence to any candidate who holds a foreign MBBS degree.
Candidates must qualify the FMGE examination to receive their medical licence in India after which they can practice medicine in the country and choose to work in either the government or private sector.
Wish to Know Your Career Scope After Studying in Kyrgyzstan?
The MBBS degree from a medical college Kyrgyzstan is recognised worldwide. This allows many students who complete their MBBS course from Kyrgyzstan to travel to countries like the USA, Germany or the UK to pursue higher education to get a specialised degree like MD/ MS or work abroad.
To get admission in a PG degree in the USA, candidates must clear all the steps of the USMLE entrance exam. A PG degree from the USA, Germany etc. is also valid in India. Additionally, candidates who are enrolled in PG degree programmes in the USA are eligible to receive a monthly stipend of around USD 4,000 which helps them manage their daily expenses.
Students can also choose to practise medicine in the UK by clearing the Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board (PLAB) test. PLAB is a test conducted to demonstrate that candidates have the necessary skills and knowledge to practise medicine in the United Kingdom (UK).
Those who wish to practise medicine in any other country must clear the required exams and learn the required language, as specified by the government of those countries.
Many countries allow international students to take up part-time jobs while pursuing higher education at one of the universities/colleges in the country and Kyrgyzstan is no exception. Students can take up part-time jobs based on their skills and qualifications to meet their expenses while studying in Kyrgyzstan. Besides earning money, part-time jobs also help students to learn things in a real-time professional environment.
Many colleges in Kyrgyzstan allow students to take up part-time jobs either within the college premises or in private organizations, whichever is most suitable for them. Usually, the maximum work-time, a student enrolled at one of the colleges in Kyrgyzstan is allowed to take up part-time work, is 20 hours a week. Students will also be required to ensure that their working hours do not clash with their study hours at college.
The average earning that a student receives in a part-time job in Kyrgyzstan depends on the type of job role, working hours and working shifts. An Indian student can expect an earning of around Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000 per month through a part-time job.
Various types of part-time jobs are available for international students in Kyrgyzstan, some of which are as follows:
On-Campus Part-time Jobs: The on-campus jobs are most suitable for students as it saves a lot of time which is otherwise spent on travelling. Various types of on-campus part time jobs include jobs in the cafeteria, library, supermarkets, assistant in labs, content creator, front office jobs etc.
Off-Campus Part-Time Jobs: As campus part-time jobs are limited many students apply for jobs outside the campuses. Some of the part-time jobs taken by students include newspaper delivery boy, food delivery boy, a cashier at restaurants, a helper at the supermarkets, grocery stores, showrooms, fuel pumps or as private tutor, tourist guide etc.
