The University of Texas at Tyler is a public university in Texas and is part of the Texas system, which includes 14 other universities. UT Tyler was established in 1971 and has proven to be one of the fastest-growing universities in the Texas system. The university is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Talking about its ranking, UT Tyler is ranked 97 for Undergraduate Engineering programs, 108th for Nursing programs and the National ranking is between 293-381 by the US News 2020 Edition.
Infrastructure, Campuses & Courses
The campus is spread over 200 acres providing a photographic location for study and recreation. For student convenience, UT Tyler also has regional campuses in Palestine and Longview, as well as a location in Houston. Apart from these campuses, the University's Engineering Center is offered in partnership with Houston Community College to provide a smooth pathway to a four-year degree in civil, electrical or mechanical engineering. The most popular courses at the University are nursing, business, engineering, arts and sciences, pharmacy, pre-med and teacher education. Also, UT Tyler offers more than 80 bachelor's, masters and doctoral degrees through various departments in six colleges.
Accomplishments & Alumni
The graduates at UT Tyler have got amazing results with regards to clearing the state licensure exams as compared to other public universities in Texas with almost 100% success rate in Nurse Practitioners (MSN) and Counseling (MS Psych) programs.
UT Tyler is the only country to offer a bachelor's degree in Human Resource management. University has acquired 10 accreditation including ABET and AACSB for the 48 Bachelors degree and 33 Masters programmes. Notable alumni include Monica Aldama, Bryan Hugh, Brandon Rhyder, Craig Tiley, and Shirley Mckellar.
