The University of San Francisco (USF) is a private institution that was founded in 1855. USF is a Jesuit-Catholic institution in California's Bay Area. The University of San Francisco is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). According to the U.S News & World Report 2020 edition, the University of San Francisco's ranking of Best Colleges is National Universities, #97, and 63rd Best College for Veterans.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
USF is spread across 55-acres and its downtown Campus provides MBA, executive MBA, Management in Financial Analysis, Global Entrepreneurial Management. The Masters in Sports Management and Nursing for Nor-Nurse students are offered on The Orange County campus. The most popular majors at the University of San Francisco include Finance, General; Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse; Psychology, General; Business Administration and Management, General; and Marketing/Marketing Management, General.
Accomplishments & Alumni
The USF Dons sports teams, listed for early Spanish settlers who arrived in California, compete in the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference. USF's Nursing Administration Program in the School of Nursing and Health Professions ranked 12th in the nation and USF’s MBA program in management ranked 25th in the nation by the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools, 2019-2020. Notable USF alumni include Starbucks co-founder Gordon Bowker and former NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle.
Student Diversity & Visiting Companies
USF has a majority of white students with a good number of Asian students as well. Here racial diversity is also very high. Minorities or students of colours make up to 73%. The gender ratio in USF is 64% women to 36% men, but in the US the average female student in University is 56%. Various companies like ESPN, Oracle, Amazon, Tesla Motors, Dolby Laboratories have given placement and internships to a number of students from USF.
