While UC Berkeley claims that it may be difficult to offers scholarships to international students, it does provide a few suggestions to students looking for financial aid for higher studies at the university:
Some departments at the university may offer scholarships to incoming international students. Hence, students are advised to work with the respective departments.
Students can opt for research scholarships offered by private organisations in the US and in India. These organisations may offer scholarships based on the candidate's background, current or future field of study and possible career options.
Graduate students applying to the university can seek financial assistance from their respective departments, including Graduate Student Instructorships and Graduate Student Researcher. These opportunities are directly under the control of each department.
