St John's University is a private coeducational Roman Catholic university founded by Vincentian Community in 1870. The university is named after John Loughlin, the first Roman Catholic Bishop of Brooklyn. It was founded as a College and acquired university status in 1906. The university is located in New York City and is affiliated with Catholic Church. Infrastructure, Campus & Courses 

St John's University has four campuses in New York- The Queen’s campus, Staten Island campus, Manhattan campus and Hauppauge campus. The Queen’s campus of St John's University extends across an area of 102 acres. It consists of traditional stone buildings, ultramodern residence halls, high tech laboratories, classroom buildings, a library, and a state-of-the-art athletic arena. St John's University is divided into six colleges- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Peter J. Tobin College of Business, The School of Education, School of Law, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and College of Professional Studies. Students have the option to choose from over 100 programs of study taught by a team of excellent faculty members
