Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) was founded in 1891. The University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools since 1973. According to 2020 rankings, IUPUI ranks at #228, among national Universities, its stands at #61 position Best Undergraduate Teaching, and #57 for most innovative schools. Times Higher Education Ranks it at 381st position in the US Rankings 2020.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
IUPUI is spread across 509 acres of land and is located in downtown Indianapolis along the White River and Fall Creek. This public research university offers more than 200 programs with the primary campuses for the Indiana University School of Medicine and the Indiana University School of Dentistry, which is the only dental school in the state of Indiana. Also, the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law is one of only two law schools operated by Indiana University. The most sought after courses at the university are Accounting, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, etc.

IUPUI is ranked in Top 100 universities for Best Undergraduate Teaching and Top 50 Graduate Nursing Programs as ranked by US News and World Report 2019-20. Also, it is the seven-time winner of Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award from Insight Into Diversity and is the first Philanthropy School in the world. IUPUI researchers were awarded $435.9 million in external funding in 2017–18 and 1,999 research grants were awarded in 2017–18.
