Scholarships to Study in Ukraine for Indian Students

Indian students who seek education in Ukraine must figure out the total fees and funding resources in order to pay the fees for the courses offered by universities in Ukraine. If you are looking out for scholarship opportunities to study in Ukraine, then you must know that the government of the country offers no scholarships to international students as the cost of education in Ukraine universities is quite low. However, you may get some other funding sources.

Government Funding:

The fees at Government Universities in Ukraine is subsidized up to 40% for national as well as international students, therefore the government does not offer any additional scholarships or funding.

Merit-based Scholarships:

Ukrainian Medical Education Center (UMEC) may offer financial aid or scholarships to exceptionally talented or skilled students after the first year. Students may be offered scholarships up to 20% of their tuition fees or 1000 USD. These scholarships are extremely competitive and are based entirely on the merit of the student.

Reference-based Scholarship:

UMEC also cuts down part of the fees for students who refer at least 2 or 5 students for medical education in Ukraine. UMEC will waive the full fee for students who refer more than 5 students. This will be applicable only if these referred students are considered eligible as per the UMEC standards.

Other Scholarships:

There are some international scholarship exams that the candidates can apply for in order to get funds. These scholarships are offered by international agencies to promote education amongst students applying for education abroad. Although the fee of education in Ukraine is low as compared to the standards of education in India, getting extra funds to pay education fees is always a good sign. You can avail financial aid through either of the above means to pursue higher education from Ukraine.
