Founded in 1867, Drew University is a private University in Madison, New Jersey. The university is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. Drew University's ranking by US News and World Report 2020 edition is #117 and among its Best Colleges is National Liberal Arts Colleges.

Times Higher Education ranks it at 217th in the US Rankings 2020.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Drew is located on a 186-acre campus in Madison. It has a total enrollment of more than 2,000 students and has 148 full-time faculty members. The campus houses the 80- acre Drew Forest Preserve and Florence and Robert Zuck Arboretum. The Theological and Caspersen schools offer MA and Ph.D. degrees and the College confers BA and BS degrees in 39 disciplines. Popular courses are nursing, Nutrition, Pharmacy, law, medicine, Health professional, dentistry at the undergraduate level.

Drew is a Nationally Accredited University. About 94% of Drews class of 2016 are employed or in graduate school within a year of graduation. More importantly, our graduatesespecially theatre and dance alumnihave a consistent record of landing impressive, hard-to-get jobs. Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

With a total enrollment of 2000+ students, the university shows a positive gender distribution with 57% women and 43%male students. The student body consists of 16% of international students representing 35 countries. The majority of international students belong to China, South Korea, and Pakistan. With more than 500 students working on-campus and in Federal Community Service partners, students have gained the opportunity to build their resumes and practice skills that will be useful in any future job or internship. Top recruitment companies hire students are BMW, Mars, Arch Insurance, etc.

COVID-19 Response

Drew University is actively monitoring the status of COVID 19 response and the health and safety of all the members of the university is on priority. The latest decisions taken by Drew University is as follows:

  • Drew University is offering courses in the Spring Term in both virtual and in-person format.

  • The student residential area is now functional for those who wish to stay in the campus.

  • Everyone is required to wear a face-covering and also try to maintain physical distance.

  • Good personal hygiene is encouraged to be maintained.

  • International students will need to follow the guidelines defined by the US Government like mandatory negative COVID 19 Test report and quarantine period.

Drew University Scholarships

International students enrolled at Drew University are automatically considered for Drew University Academic Scholarships at the time of admission. There are also a limited number of need-based scholarships available under the need-based grants.

Students need to apply for the need-based scholarship and send the required financial needs to be considered for scholarship. 

However, for the Drew University Academic Scholarships, the students are automatically considered for scholarship.

How to Apply for a Need-Based Scholarship? 

Students interested in applying for a scholarship must complete the International Student Financial Aid Application and submit it to the Office of Financial Assistance.

The application is available on the official website of the university for download.

Outside Scholarship

As scholarships and grants offered by Drew University to international students is highly competitive, one can also look for available scholarships from external sources. These scholarships and grants are offered by outside organizations.
