Popularly known as the city-state in maritime Southeast Asia, Singapore has a population of only 5.639 million people, 29% of which includes foreigners. Officially known as the Republic of Singapore, it is also home to Asia’s top two universities – National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University – according to the QS World University Rankings 2021. Also featured in the top 100 Asian universities is the Singapore Management University.

Singapore has also been ranked 20th in the QS Best Student Cities 2019.
