National Testing Agency (NTA) and IITs conduct the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) every year, one of the world's most challenging examinations. JEE Mains 2023 is being conducted in several shifts between January 24, 2023, to February 1, 2023, with exceptions on 26, 27 and 28 January.
The engineering exam has two levels: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main exam is hosted by the NTA and JEE Advanced is organised by one of the IITs yearly. Those students who qualify for the JEE Main are allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced exam.

Not all students participating in the exam will get the opportunity to study in the 23 top institutes. However, that does not limit the validity of JEE scores. Those who wish to study abroad can get added bonuses in the form of JEE scores in a few universities. Here is a list of universities abroad accepting the ranks of JEE:
Queen’s University, Belfast
QUB like every other university takes into consideration the marks received in higher secondary. Along with it, the university also gives value to the JEE scores while assessing the applications of candidates. Good percentile scores in JEE serve to mask the low performance in a key subject in class XII. Students must achieve the overall and subject-wise score requirements of Queen’s University.
National University of Singapore
JEE scores are not the only criterion for admission to a course at the university but candidates with exception scores are given a preference. The university guidelines highly regard the candidates with exceptional achievements such as International Science Olympiad Medals, national team sportsperson, top national awards, and high ranks in university entrance like IIT JEE or AIEEE.

German universities
Unlike in India, German universities have 13 years of formal education. To fill this gap of one year, Indian students have to study an extra year known as “studienkolleg”. However, with JEE scores, they can get direct admission to universities. They must confirm with the universities before applying for the course.
RWTH Aachen University says that an Indian candidate must submit class XII scores, both parts of the Joint Entrance Examination and must have a certificate from the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS).
