Lomonosov Moscow State University, a coeducation and public research university, is among the oldest universities in Russia. Established in the year 1755, the University was founded by Russias first academic, encyclopedist, and popular scientist, Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov. The University is accredited by NMC (National Medical Commission) and WHO (World Health Organisation). The prestigious university has been ranked 84th by QS World University Rankings, 93rd by Academic Ranking of World Universities, 189th by THE World University Rankings, and 266th by U.S. News & World Report Ranking, as of 2021. Overall, the university ranked 43rd in 2008 and 45th in 2012 among 300 Best World Universities according to Human Resources & Labor Review (HRLR) based on the performance of graduates.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Located in the city of Moscow,Russia, LMSU has most of its faculties in the southwest of Moscow, on Sparrow Hills. MSU is a full-fledged university that offers full-time BS, MS, and Specialist programs, most of which are taught in Russian. The University is equipped with all the modern facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure that provides a perfect study environment for the students. As of 2019, the university has a total of 39 faculties and 15 research centres. It also comprises a Botanical Garden, the MSU Zoological Museum, The Earth Sciences Museum, Moscow University Arts and Entertainment Center, among others, where the University hosts regular University events including Matriculation ceremony, Tatyanas Day, Graduation Day, Science Festival'', Day of the Elder Generation'', Voice competition, and many others.

Lomonosov Moscow State University is one of the best universities in Russia that provides affordable studies to international students. Thousands of students from India apply for admission to LMSU every year. The University has also collaborated with 5 research institutes and clinics and more than six medical schools and universities to facilitate clinical rotations of the students. The University is certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) and is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS). As of 2019, MSU is associated with a total of 13 Nobel laureates, six Fields Medal winners and one Turing Award winner. Some of the notable alumni of MSU include Anton Chekhov, Mikhail Gobachev, Mikhail Suslov, Vladimir Arnold, Ivan Turgenev and Andrey Kolmogorov.
Student Diversity & Employment Opportunities
Presently, the Lomonosov Moscow State University consists of about 38,150 students studying on its campus, of which around 4,000 are international students and about 5,000 are academic staff members. The University welcomes students from all over the world in order to promote student diversity. The University also maintains a low teacher-student ratio in order to facilitate a personalized learning experience and develop an individual rapport with one another. Notably, around 10,000 international students, graduate students and interns from 90 countries visit MSU to undergo training in joint scientific programs.
