The University of Strathclyde in the UK recently introduced a unique program called MSc Renewable Energy and Decarbonisation Technologies, which offers a Master of Science degree. Recognizing the industry's need for transitioning from fossil fuels to zero or low-carbon sources with the integration of electrical technologies, the university seized the opportunity to develop this course.

Course Curriculum and Tuition Fee

The course curriculum consists of two semesters of compulsory and optional classes, followed by a three-month summer research project focused on the student's chosen areas of interest. The department offers competitive MSc industrial internships, collaborating with industry partners such as oil and gas companies, ScottishPower, Smarter Grid Solutions, and SSE. Through these internships, students will tackle real-world engineering challenges, benefit from site visits, access to technical data and facilities, and receive guidance from industry mentors and academic supervisors.

For international students, the tuition fee for the MSc Renewable Energy and Decarbonisation Technologies program in the academic year 2023-24 is GBP 24,450 and the duration of the course is one year.

The application deadline for this scholarship is August 18, 2023.

Additionally, the university provides Dean's International Excellence Awards, which are limited in number and worth GBP 5,000 and GBP 8,000.
