The higher education publisher Times Higher Education (THE) has signed agreements with student accommodation marketplace Casita and international education agency SI-UK as part of a move to expand into the study abroad sector. The agreements are aimed at THE going beyond its traditional readership and supporting students aspiring to study abroad.
THE has also mentioned that it would invest in a new comprehensive student proposition, a redesigned website and content series that will attract more students and guide them through their pre-study journey. The publisher would work with SI-UK to offer consultation services, free placement and overall guidance to current and prospective international students looking forward to studying in the UK.
The other agreement, with Casita, would enable THE to provide 7,50,000 rooms in a total of 27 countries amid and post the global pandemic. Casita is an accommodation platform providing overseas students with accommodation across various popular study abroad destinations, inlcuding the UK, USA, Australia, and more.
THE CEO, Paul Howarth said that the partnership will help THE penetrate into the international student market easily and provide high-quality accommodation options to overseas students.
This move comes at a time when there is enormous competition in the foreign education market and among study abroad aspirants across the world.
Launched in October 1971, THE is a weekly magazine that delivers news, job opportunities and analysis with related to higher education. It also published World University Rankings every year comprising the world's best universities.
