West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov State Medical University, also known as WKSMU, is a Government University which was established in the year 1957. The University was ranked by IAAR on 7th place in the general rating "TOP-20" between universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan; in the institutional ranking of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the direction "Health and Social Security (Medicine)" of educational programs: 2nd place for the bachelor's degree, 2nd place for master's degree and 3rd place for the doctoral studies. The University is also approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI) & WHO. WKSMU stands at the country rank of 51 and at a world rank of 7940.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

WKSMU is a major Institute in Kazakhstan for educational, scientific, and medical studies and is one of the leading research medical centers in the country. As of today, the university comprises five educational and laboratory buildings, five student dormitories, a modern complex including a dormitory with 1,000 seats, a conference hall among other facilities.
