Documents Required for China Student Visa (X Visa)

While preparing the application paperwork for a China student visa, the following supporting documents are required.

  • After you have decided on the university and got the acceptance letter in hand, a student visa named X Visa is required.

    • An X1 Visa is required for the students staying in China for more than six months (180 days).

    • An X2 Visa is required for students staying in China for study purposes for less than six months (180 days).

  • Original document and a copy of the admission notice from a university in China.

  • Proof of proficiency in English (TOEFL/ IELTS scores).

  • One recent passport-size photograph.

  • Applicant’s original passport, which should be valid for at least the next six months and must have at least one blank page.

  • China Student Visa Application Form- filled completely with full and correct details.

  • W201 or JW202 Form - For X1 applicants only.

After you have submitted the form, the embassy or consulate-general will have the power on your visa status.
