Founded in 1897, San Diego State University is the oldest institute for higher education in San Diego. Over the years, the university has grown to become a leading public research university of the country. Today, SDSU is ranked among the top 10 universities for students to study abroad. The university is recognised for its rich diversity of students, ethics and values. It was ranked in the top 25 universities for entrepreneurship by the Forbes, Fortune and U.S. News & World Report. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

San Diego State University is committed to providing a safe and secure environment to all its students, faculty, staff and visitors. The buildings of the campus are secure and anyone who feels unsafe can directly contact the authorities regarding their concerns. It has a traditional residence hall, high-rise residence complexes and apartment-type complexes to provide on-campus housing facilities to more than 5000 students. SDSU is committed to providing the best platform for students from across the globe to grow at an academic and intellectual level. The university offers 96 Bachelor’s, 80 Master’s and 21 Doctoral degree programmes in various disciplines like Art, Engineering, Science etc. These programmes are offered in eight colleges of the university. The academic curriculum of the course helps students meet global challenges and build a bright career.  

Accomplishments & Alumni

San Diego State University is recognised as a leader in higher education. The rate of students graduating from the university continues to grow. It has also been nationally ranked as no. 8 in the graduating rate performance by the U.S. News & World Report. The university has also managed to successfully produce 88 Fulbright student scholars since 2005. SDSU community engages alumni and also encourages them to share their experiences with the current students of the university. It provides a healthy environment for all students and arranges platforms for collaboration between SDSU Alumni and current students to exchange ideas and information.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

SDSU is a hub of students who are innovative and believe in invention. Every year, over 36,000 both domestic and international students get an opportunity to take admission at the university in different courses. Among this, the percentage of international students at SDSU is 8.3%. Over 1,800 international students from across 70 countries and five continents take admission at SDSU. Most of the SDSU graduated students serve the society as professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs.
