Founded in 1872, Saint Peters University is a private Jesuit university located in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States. It is one of the 27 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States and only one in New Jersey. The university is accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education Accreditation (MSCHE), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Accreditation (CCNE), International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) and Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) Accreditation and affiliated to Roman Catholic (Jesuit). Saint Peters University is ranked highest for Social Mobility in the Regional Universities North category by the U.S News & Reports.

Saint Peters University is located just 12 minutes train ride from New York City. The main campus of Saint Peters University is known as Jersey City Campus that extends across an area of 25 acres in Jersey City. The campus has seven residence halls that accommodate half of the undergraduate students at the university, Student Centres, Recreational Life Centres and Library. The university has five Schools and Colleges -College of Arts & Science, Caulfield School of Education, School of Nursing, Frank J. Guarini School of Business and School of Professional and Continuing Education to offer more than 50 undergraduate and 13 graduate degree programmes.
