North Dakota State University was founded in 1890 as a public land grant research university in Fargo, North Dakota. It is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a regional accreditation that assures standard quality higher education at the university. The graduate programs of NDSU is recognised among the best in the nation by the National Research Council (NRC) ranking. It is also ranked No.277 among the Best National Universities by the U.S. News & World Report's Rankings.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
The main campus of North Dakota State University extends across an area of 258 acres that houses more than 100 buildings. The facilities and amenities available for students include on-campus housing, dining, wellness centres, health centres, sports programs, events and various other extracurricular activities. The university offers 988 academic degree programs under eight colleges- College of Business, College of Engineering, College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Health Professions, College of Human Sciences and Education and College of Science and Mathematics.
Accomplishments & Alumni
The Master of Accountancy program offered at NDSU was named as a highly ranked course by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy. Also, its College of Business is ranked among the top 100 empirical supply chain research universities compiled by the SCM Congress. Many renowned personalities such as Alf Clausen – composer for "The Simpsons” and other television programs and motion pictures, Humayun Ahmed-writer and filmmaker, Robert Richardson- Nobel Prize winner in physics 1996, Amy Gravitt– Executive vice president of comedy, HBO and Mike Posner - Singer/songwriter have graduated from North Dakota State University. Apart from this, over 94,700 graduates represent the alumni community of NDSU among which 2,351 are international graduates.

NDSU enrols more than 12,800 students in academic degree programs. International students at North Dakota State University represent around 5.0% of the total student enrollment. The average class size at the university is 34. The student to faculty ratio at the university is 16: 1 to give maximum attention to each student that they deserve. Every year, the university conducts job fairs through which students of NDSU connects with the employers. Many students benefit from the career fair through internships and employment opportunities. Both in-person and virtual interview options are available for students.
