Brigham Young University (BYU) was established in 1955 by David O McKay, the 9th President of The Church of Jesus Christ. Brigham Young University is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. BYU ranks 17th according to the US News 2020 edition of Best Colleges in Regional Colleges in the West.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

BYU is spread across 557-acres.  BYU focuses on undergraduate education and courses in Mathematics, Liberal Arts, & Management are offered here. The University also offers Non-credit programs like Piano, Self-defence for women, Tae Kwon Do. The most popular majors at Brigham Young University include Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services; Biological and Biomedical Sciences; Engineering; Education; and Social Sciences.

Accomplishments & Alumni 

There are more than 300 clubs on campus and a student volunteer alliance creates community service projects throughout campus. The BYU Cougars comprehensively compete in the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference. The football team is known for the number of players drafted by the NFL: about 140 players and counting. All BYU students can compete in intramural sports, and about 40 percent choose to do so. The University helps students in career planning, Finding Internships, and offer Career Development Courses. Celebrity Alumni of BYU include Jet Chang (BasketBall) Aaron Eckhart (actor).

With about 5% of students coming from diverse parts of the world, BYU is welcoming towards international students. It has an overall score of 87 out of 100 in diversity and Ranks 93 out of 2475 by the US News & World Report 2020 edition. The male-female ratio is 50:50 and the total number of enrolments is 33,511.
