University of Greenwich's New Partnership to Offer Foundation Diplomas to Int'l Students

The University of Greenwich and the Oxford International Education Group have decided to expand on their previous partnership to offer international students an opportunity to learn and thrive, especially during such unprecedented times.

The partnership will bring forward a new Oxford International London Centre or OILC, located in a state-of-the-art teaching space on Greenwich High Road, near the Greenwich campus of the university.

Presently, OILC is set to offer an International Foundation Diploma in Business and an International Foundation Diploma in Accounting and Finance, starting September 2021. The centre will also be accepting applications for the second intake in January 2022. Sources have claimed that the two programmes offered will be stand-alone diplomas and, therefore, be different from the integrated degrees currently offered through the partnership.

The courses have been validated by the University of Greenwich and will help successful students continue their education within a range of degrees of their choice at different universities in the UK.

In her statement, the University of Greenwich Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jane Harrington stated that under the present partnership with Oxford International, over 1,000 students have enrolled in the preparatory programmes since 2018, for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the UK.

The Group Chief Executive Officer, Oxford International Education Group, Lil Bremermann-Richard, commented that the new partnership between the two institutions and through the Centres stand-alone Foundation Diploma programmes, the international students will be able to progress to Greenwich Universitys degree programmes.

The birth of the OILC partnership is a result of the success witnessed with the University of Greenwich International College (UGIC), run by the Oxford International Education in collaboration with the University.
