Amidst the uncertainties of the ongoing war, the Indian students who have returned homehave been relieved with the recommencement of online classes bysome of the universities of Western Ukraine. The students can now keep pace with the curriculum. The other universities are soon to catch up with the online classes.
Around 18,000 Indian students are currentlyenrolled in MBBS atvarious universities inUkraine. Most of them have returned safely to India under Operation Ganga. After two weeks of suspense and uncertainty, the resumption of classes has been a silver lining in the cloud over the career of Ukraine-returnIndian medical students. Many professors have taken shelter in neighbouring countries of Poland, Romania, and Hungary and are taking classes from there, whereas, some are still in Ukraine, attending to its emergency situations and volunteering.

The classes have resumed in small groups of 14-15 students and the teachers are diving straight into the teaching without wasting time discussing the war. Classes have started again in the cities of Lviv and Ternopil but many teachers in other cities were unable to log in because of disruptions in internet connectivity. The teachers are ensuring that the students dont miss out due to the temporary change of situation in Ukraine.
The nighttime is spent by most of the Ukrainian teachers in the shelter and again the next morning they are back to taking classes online. The online materials are being used to continue the teaching-learning process including videos. They are focused to finish the semester. In spite of the horror raking Ukraine, the professors are trying their best to help the students out.
