UVA is known for its Jeffersonian architecture and has a place in US history and acts as a prototype for college and university campuses. The institution is home to some of the most famous and affiliated centers such as the Rare Book School, headquarters of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory, University of Virginia Center for Politics, Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, and Miller Center of Public Affairs. The institution also houses The Fralin Museum of Art where the university community and even the general public come to study and experience various works of art. The university sits on a 1,135-acre central campus partially protected by UNESCO and due to the university's lingo, the campus is commonly referred to as the ‘Grounds’. UVA, following its affiliations, grants 48 bachelor's degrees, 94 master's degrees, 55 doctoral degrees, 6 educational specialist degrees, and 2 first-professional degrees (Medicine and Law) to its students. Darden Graduate School of Business, Curry School of Education, School of Engineering and Applied Science, School of Law and School of Medicine are some of the graduate programmes, which are highly ranked amongst several other programmes.   Accomplishments & Alumni   The University of Virginia leads by example in terms of accomplishments in every field. The university’s Strategic Investment Fund, which allocates $100 million annually for research and other strategic investments has made sure that their research work does not go unnoticed, which is highlighted by the fact that the journal ‘Science’ credited UVA faculty with two of the top ten global scientific breakthroughs of 2015. UVA continuously receives millions in funding from the government’s top organisations such as The United States Air Force, National Science Foundation, and National Center for Hypersonic Combined Cycle Propulsion. UVA alumni have always carried forward the torch of accomplishments in their respective fields. Former U.S. Senator Edward Kennedy, journalist Katie Couric, former NFL player Tiki Barber, President of the United States Woodrow Wilson and fifty-three Rhodes Scholars have attended UVA. This list also includes eight NASA astronauts and launch directors: Karl Gordon Henize, Bill Nelson, Thomas Marshburn, Leland Melvin, Jeff Wisoff, Kathryn Thornton, Patrick Forrester; and Michael Leinbach.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

The University of Virginia believes greatly in the idea of diversity and is always on the lookout to promote student diversity because they believe that when people of different backgrounds come together, they exchange ideas, questions, and broaden the horizons for all, which helps in building respect amongst communities, which in line makes a country great. These beliefs are underlined by all the 50 states and the 147 foreign countries from which the students come to pursue their dreams at UVA. All these factors lead to greater employability and some of the famous recruiters like CNET, Reddit, etc are examples of that. Moreover, the university has its internal recruiting firm: The Executive Search Group and Strategic Resourcing.
