The City College of the CUNY is a public and senior college of the City University of New York system in New York City. The college is located in Hamilton Heights towards Harlem in Manhattan. It was founded in 1847 and City College was the first free public institution for higher education in the US. City College's ranking in the US News and World Report 2020 edition of Best Colleges is as mentioned in National Universities-Rank #228, Rank #109 in top public schools and #17 in top performers on Social Mobility.
