City University of Seattle also known as CityU located in Canada is a not-for-profit, accredited institution established in 1984. The University is incorporated in the state of Washington and is accreditated by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, (NWCCU). CityU has maintained continuous accreditation with the Commission since 1978, earning reaffirmation of accreditation in its last seven-year review in 2018. The Management and Business programmes are accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business School Programs (ACBSP). CityU is ranked among the top 15 universities in Canada and has a world rank of 3140. 

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

CityU has locations in Canada, the United States (Washington State), China, Slovakia, Switzerland, Vietnam, the Czech Republic and Mexico. The Canadian-made programs of the University have a major focus on preparing working people to meet the complex and various challenges faced by them in the areas of education, management and human services. The major programs offered by the University are Master of Education which includes School Counseling or Leadership, Master of Counseling, and also Bachelor of Arts in Management.

Accomplishments & Alumni 

The University has incorporated a team named City University Learning Goals (CULGs).   CULGs demonstrates the critical competencies necessary to be successful in today’s workforce in any field. Also, CityU offers an education that is accessible to the working adult and transfer student. Its curriculum is taught by practicing professionals and is results-oriented, hands-on, and informed by what industry demands now. The learning model is focused on helping professionals earn a degree that will later earn them a better job, salary, title, or life after they graduate. Notable alumni include Mohamed Fahmy, Canadian-Egyptian journalist with CNN and Al Jazeera English, Larry W. Campbell, former Mayor of Vancouver, Canadian Senator and Chief Coroner and Maya Morsy, head of Egypt's National Council for Women.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

CityU offers degrees in both Alberta and British Columbia. CityU has over 500 students and more than 2,000 alumni in Canada.  CityU students come from various international communities and from over 40 countries making it quite friendly for students coming from diverse backgrounds. Visiting companies for recruitment are HCL, ACG Worldwide, Syniverse, Microsoft, Swadved Agro Pvt Ltd and many more.
